Silicon Valley-based company Aeris, has recently expanded into India. Company has just got its license in the month of May, and with its start, it is set to enhance its social quotient. The company launched its CSR initiative at the Shastri Bhawan in New Delhi. Aeris deals in the market of the Internet of Things – as an operator of end-to-end IoT services and as a technology provider enabling other operators to build profitable IoT services.
Aeris has collaborated with several non-profit organizations in India and makes available to them IoT connectivity service and tools to communicate and analyse data. In an exclusive one to one Dr. Rishi Bhatnagar, President, India Operations told DQ Channels, “There are no. of NGOs in India, and we are happy to support them with our technology, we are providing them technology to work effectively, much faster and impact larger number of people. For instance, An NGO is working for sending the TB and polio vaccination to different parts in the country, for them we have provided them global connectivity, there is a specific technology for getting analytics about temperature of vaccination machine”
Company has just started its operations in India, however globally its working with several social impact companies such as Nexleaf, SweetSense and other international NGOs. In Mozambique, Africa, company has supported water management project by providing technology, and it has benefitted a large number of people. “through CSR activities we are not only minimizing the environmental impact, but also we are able to get through the operational efficiencies” said Dr. Bhatnagar.
He added “Through this initiative, Aeris will provide relevant technology as we believe in using it as an enabler to enhance the reach, coverage, monitoring of progress and predictive planning for the programmes launched and supported by the Government of India and NGOs. We are actively working towards helping build an ecosystem of like-minded technology companies with complementary, industry-leading capabilities which can deliver the kinds of solutions that will help NGOs achieve greater impact.”
