In an interview with DQ Channels SWARAN Singh, General Secretary of ADCTA Shares a serious issue of customers and Dealers on warranty -
When we talk about warranty the first thing flashes in our mind is the security of the product which we are buying from the shop. This is always the first question of the customers which is quite obvious when someone is investing the amount they should get the worth for that.
But the question is one who is responsible for warranty giving and listening to the warranty issues. Either vendors or channel partners?
The members of the All Delhi Computer Trader’s Association are seeking customer’s kind attention in regard to the warranty problems so they have raised the voice. In concern to the customer and also the dealers In Nehru Place.
If we see technically the vendors are providing the warranty and also responsible for any issue related to the same. There should be no role of the distributors or the channels partners in solving any problems in the product which relates to the warranty. This is the fact which customers should know.
Talking to DQ Channels Swarn Singh, The President of ADCTA says, “Warranty is a written guarantee given to the purchaser of a new product or other items by the manufacturer or dealer, usually specifying that the manufacturer or importer will assure good service for any repairs or replace defective parts free of charge for a stated period of time commencing from the sale of the product to the end user by any Sales Tax or GST Registered seller but we are not the one who is responsible for these continous warranty issues happening in Delhi.”.
“Many times we have faced trouble because of the customer’s complaints regarding the warranty. In NEHRU PLACE it’s been several times that the police has arrived in the complex and started taking actions against the dealers without knowing that the warranty thing is provided by the vendors not from us so all responsibilities are of the vendors of the respective product. So the vendors like Portronics, Iball, Intex, Digisol are those from which the customers are getting the complaints regarding the warranty. But the customers are not aware of the fact that the complaint should be not against us but against the vendors.” Singh adds.
Though for more inputs and making it more authentic DQ Channels has also tried to contact the vendors for having both side answers but unfortunately, we couldn’t contact him.
Here is the copy of letter through which the AIDCTA has raised the complained on this warranty against the vendors.
