All Delhi Computers Traders Association (ADCTA), a computer traders body which has its office in Nehru Place, has invited the computer traders' opinions and suggestions regarding the declining business during Corona crisis. They have posted an online link, where the traders can click and offer their suggestions.
The IT industry, especially related to the hardware business, has taken a downturn with the onset of Corona Virus crisis. First, the imports from China shut down and then with the lockdown deepening in India, the supply chain got disrupted. As a result, the demand for the computers grew since most people were working from home, but the supplies could not meet these growing demands.
Further, the government ruled that the business houses were to continue to pay salaries during lockdown and also to pay rent for their office premises. These have paced burden on the computer traders who have already been hit by the declining hardware business. ADCTA has been negotiating with the government to ease out the problems of the computer traders especially of the members of the ADCTA. In this, they have joined the negotiations being done by other trader associations.
In the continuing development of events in this context, ADCTA has invited the viewpoints and suggestions from the traders about how to manage the problem of salary payment and the rent payment for their offices and businesses. Following is the English translation of the text of the letter circulated by ADCTA -
