Ashish Kumar, CEO, Teleglobals International shared his entire journey about how did he move to the cloud business, challenges, growth, and future vision.

When and how did you move to Cloud Business?

Our parent organization, Teleglobal Communication, has been serving 350+ corporate customers across India within the ISP space for the last 8+ years. Most of the time, we heard the need for the internet, to suffice their purpose of accessing the data of the cloud. Many such organizations were unable to know whom to reach out to when they have some petty issues like connecting to servers or downloading the files from the cloud and making a timely backup of on-premise data. Many of such organizations were not even sure if that will be secured or not and how can they ensure to opt for best practices of cloud security while spending less money to keep a balance. That’s when we thought to get into this where we can help such organizations with best practices of cloud with the best competitive pricing. In 2017, we started our new venture- Teleglobal International with the goal of building relationships while organizations move to the cloud. Earning money has never been a goal, however, earning trust comes first for us and that is what we have been doing since we started our journey to the cloud.

What are the different Cloud services do you offer?

Teleglobal International is an independent cloud services provider. We are partners to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform and this enables us to offer the full gamut of cloud services from pre-migration, i.e. audit, planning, etc. to the actual migration to post-migration services, during which we help our customers optimize their cloud environment while maximizing cost savings. Teleglobal International is a full-fledged Managed Services Provider, with multiple certifications, including membership in AWS’s Advanced Partner Network. We are also an AWS DynamoDB Delivery Partner and certified partners in AWS Well-Architected Program. In addition to cloud services, Teleglobal also offers co-location services. Our data centers are currently operating in India’s major IT metros of Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata & outside of India like Czeck Republic, USA and more are scheduled to go online in the near future.

What sort of changes have you done to move to the cloud within the organization?

Diversification from Internet Provider to Cloud was not an easy task. The mind should be ready to take on new challenges. We built a new team of cloud architects and cloud engineers with strategies to capture the market.

How does Crayon Software help you to grow your business and customers?

Cloud is a new business for us we don’t know how to take it forward at initial time Crayon team especially Laxmikant and Praveen from sales give us the opportunity to start new business entity, they involve each and every case of customer requirement and at every step they guide us to grow business, Crayons team help us whenever we need any support or guidance.

How are your old and new customers adopting the new technology and moving to the cloud?

Cloud is not a choice any longer. The only question is “how do I make the most of what cloud computing offers. Teleglobal addresses this by partnering with businesses every step of the way, helping them to migrate their workloads and applications to the cloud as seamlessly as possible, post-migration, we can help by optimizing their cloud infrastructure and managing their cloud environment by taking responsibility for all the routine services to ensure total business continuity, availability and scalability—cost-effectively.

How many customers do you have, who are taking Cloud solutions and what are their different verticals?

Our teams are experienced in implementing cloud solutions across industry verticals—from manufacturing to next-gen fintech and analytics companies who do not have the physical products but only work with the data generated every day. At the current date, we have 100+ customers across India in different sectors and across industries.

What are the different challenges did you face in this journey?

Trust is always the biggest hurdle. And the cloud is no exception. It is tough for customers to trust their data to a third party and this was true for all early businesses considering migrating to the cloud. But those that did saw the benefits almost immediately. Many took a half-and-half hybrid approach, with retaining a portion of their workloads on their on-premises data centers, for fear of security issues. But with the next generation of cloud solutions in Disaster Recovery, this too is becoming a thing of the past. The cost was another challenge. Many organizations believed that going cloud-native would be a pricey affair. In fact, it offers greater cost savings; advances like Serverless Computing have completely abstracted the expensive infrastructure layer. For large, geographically spread-out businesses, speed, scalability and availability are big factors and big players like AWS have the spread and size to address this comprehensively.

What is your overall growth being a cloud partner?

Well, we started our journey with only one engineer and enrolled as a registered partner with AWS back then. It has been 4+ years of journey and we have not only grown in team size, but the experience that we have accumulated is much larger, which has helped us shape and make more cloud-native. We have been able to achieve more certifications to make our team stronger in this journey. With the growing team, we have achieved a few specializations as well. We at Teleglobal certainly know that technology will change every day, but gaining the trust of customers will never change and that is what we believe is real growth for us!

What are your future goals?

In the coming future, we hope that we will be part of the cloud journey of many such organizations, helping them achieve their cloud goals. With an increasing number of organizations moving onto the cloud, we are looking forward to increasing our team of engineers and solution architects, making ourselves available, and relying on handing our their infra and sit back.
