Bounty Hunter locates Uber Bug

A South techie, Anand Prakash found out a bug in Uber App, which could give free rides for life! Indeed good news for Uber, but bad news for all those hackers who could have taken opportunity for misused it. However, the defect has been patched up.

Anand who works as a product security engineer said “I was testing Uber application for security loopholes,” he explained. “This is how I was able to figure it out. It was easy to do". Anand was checking for any loopholes in the App. And he found out.

He also runs a blog on web application security.

Uber in turn rewarded Prakash with $5,000 under Bug Bounty Programme.
