On the World Environment Day, DQ Channels received a note from Puneet Singhal, President, CMDA, New Delhi & IT Ambassador to CAIT, that CAIT plans to plant 1 crore trees all over India in the next 2 years.
The CAIT statement read -
"As a gesture to begin their drive to plant trees, today on the occasion of 5th June, the world environment day, CAIT Delhi started it's national mission of planting 1 crore trees within the next 2 years from the historic Red Fort to the DCP North Office, Sunheri Masjid."
About 100 trees were planted by CAIT members.

DCP North Anto Alphons led the project by planting the first tree along with the National Secretary General CAIT Praveen Khandelwal.
The CAIT release further said that there were several police officers present at the venue to assist the CAIT team in planting trees. They included -

SI Manish Madhukar,
ASI Shiri Thaan Singh
CAIT takes the issue of environment seriously and plans to make the traders community aware of the environmental cause. Planting trees is the first step in this direction.
Earlier, DQ Channels had received a note that CMDA, New Delhi was completely with CAIT in its tree planting venture.
World Environment Day is celebrate each year as a step towards making the world aware of the environmental concerns that are affecting the planet and to evolve solutions towards rebuilding the planet's environment. In recent years, issues such as climate change have seriously affected the people especially in cities.
