Healthtech startup CureFit has signed a Rs 100 crore deal with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan that includes brand endorsement and actor’s equity stake in the company among other things.
According to an Economic Times report, it’s a five-year endorsement deal and the actor has been offered an equity stake in the company in lieu of cash investment, promotions and royalty from his personal brand HRX’s specialized workout plan.
HRX Workout offering is currently available on Cult fitness centres run by CureFit and soon to be launched on the mobile app. “The idea behind this workout is to help people move better, faster and feel athletic by progressing gradually. Since its introduction, the response to the HRX Workout (at Cult fitness centres) has been welcoming with an ever increasing roster of participants,” Hrithik Roshan said in a statement to ET.
The startup recently acquired Bangalore-based yoga chain a1000yoga for an undisclosed amount.
