Dell India recently launched its latest range of electronic gadgets such as Personal Computers, tablets and laptops. The devices rolled out by the computer manufacturer are stylish and convenient, and easy-to-use. Dell India is also planning to open 825 stores by the end of the year. Currently, the company has a presence in 1000 cities while it wants to take the number upto 1200 by focusing on smaller cities.
“We have been focusing on the smaller cities since the past two years to increase Dell’s presence. The current market penetration of computers and laptops is 10% while from an industry point of view, we intend to have a 25% market penetration in 3 years time,” said P Krishnakumar, vice-president, consumer & small enterprises, Dell India.
Dell India has partnered with e-commerce portals Flipkart and Snapdeal for its merchandise to be sold there. The company is striving to ensure that its PCs and laptops are affordable and reachable to as many people as it can. Dell does not legally sell its merchandise to Amazon.com, but is in the process of closing a deal with the e-commerce giant.
