For HBO, it’s been a really tough month. Two weeks ago, HBO got hacked and its data got leaked; close to 1.5 TB of data got leaked online. Two episodes of the ongoing season 7 of Game of Thrones were leaked separately, the fourth episode was leaked from Star India’s technology partner Hotstar and the sixth episode was leaked to Internet piracy sites four days ahead of its premiere. It was illegally published by HBO Spain and HBO Nordic this Wednesday.

Seems now HBO has got another problem. The Twitter and Facebook accounts of HBO were hacked by a group claiming to be OurMine in the US. This message was posted by the hackers on both the social media platforms-

“Hi, OurMine are here, we are just testing your security, HBO team please contact us to upgrade the security – ourmine org -> Contact”

OurMine which is quite notorious for hacking the likes of Netflix, Marvel, Sony Music and Google, Twitter and Niantic’s CEO, among others.

The group also posted another message from Game of Thrones account that read “let’s make #HBOHacked trending!” HBO has regained the control of all its social media accounts and deleted all the posts which were made by the hackers.
