Our latest analysis on Hypertension focused only on working professionals from six Tier 1 cities, namely Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. We zeroed in on the cluster to gauge how the disease was affecting working people and what the prevalence was. The facts that surfaced show that about 49% of working professionals in the in the age group 35-45 years are at maximum risk because of the disease. The majors cause of stress for working professionals turned out to be meeting deadlines, missing targets, coping up with pressure and office politics. It is highly disturbing to note that this high stress makes most of them to indulge in alcohol and smoking, that exposes them to potential risk factors, including Hypertension itself.
Likewise, the findings show that jobs in the field of Sales and Marketing, Media and Public Relations, BPO, Travel and Tourism are most stressful. To come up at the conclusion, we analysed 100,000 interactions that took place on the platform since January 1, 2016 and took into account only those into consideration which specified their work-related details.
