HP launches a series of LaserJet printers with built-in security features

HP has announced the launch of a series of LaserJet printers and multi-function printers (MFPs) with built-in security features for Enterprise and SMB segment. The new HP Laser Jet 400 series of MFPs is powered by Jet Intelligence technology and it comes with built-in self-healing security features such as HP SureStart, White Listing and Intrusion detection mechanism.

Leong Han Kong, Vice president, Printing Systems, Asia Pacific and Japan, formally unveiled the HP LaserJet Pro M403, HP Colour LaserJet Pro M452, HP LaserJet Pro M427 and HP colour LaserJet Pro MFP M 477. Talking at the global launch, Kong said that the new offering with built-in security features would enable the enterprises to achieve higher productivity at a lower cost.

“We are reinventing the chemistry of printing with the launch of new HP Laser Jet 400 series of MFPs. The built-in security features like HP SureStart, White Listing and Intrusion detection are the unique offerings which will strengthen our leading position in the industry,” Kong said. The Whitelisting feature restricts the execution of suspicious firmware. The Run-Time Intrusion Detection feature provides in-device memory monitoring for malicious attacks.

“HP will continue to focus on security for its printing portfolio by delivering market leading security technology foe new and existing printers, helping customers better protect their device, data and documents”, Kong said.

The company has also expanded the innovation of original HP Toner cartridges with Jet Intelligence technology. With anti-fraud technology built into Jet Intelligence toner cartridges, users have more protection that easily identifies counterfeit cartridges and enforces user-initiated anti-theft and office-wide printing policies to manage cost and quality standards.

HP LaserJet Pro M403 and HP Colour LaserJet Pro M452 series are expected to be available in October at the price INR 25, 145 and INR 44,280. HP LaserJet Pro M427 is expected to be available in October at the price INR 43, 500. Whereas HP colour LaserJet Pro MFP M 477 series is expected to be available in October at the price INR 69,498.
