The challenges of being a woman executive in a top role
As I am not in a full time job and have my own business, I do not find many challenges, infect I find a lot of advantages of being a woman.
Educational Background
I am honors in English literature.
Family Background
I come from a very conservative patriarchal family, but got married to vinod who has quite liberal thought process
Working in Male-dominated field of IT
Yes, I can always feel that IT is a male dominated industry, but I am very grateful to both my parent companies, Epson and Sony, for always treating women with true gentlemen like attitude. Infact they make me feel very comfortable.
Does a Glass ceiling exist?
No, times have really changed, I do not see any opportunity going out of my hand for the reason for being a woman, but yes I have always been very discreet that my first priority is my family and I work only till 3, so if any opportunity comes my way and I decline it, it’s a different issue.
Hobbies
My hobby is to read books and listen to Hindi songs.
Future plan
My future plan is to just keep both my service centers going strong, and to give my staff the best in the industry. My personal future goals at this stage of my life is more about Vinod’s business expansions and my children career formations
