Sandeep Mahal's organisation Techryde is the preferred digital solutions partner for Oracle MICROS and Simphony, the leading global POS service providers. Originally based in India, Mahal made the strategic decision to move his headquarters to Toronto, Canada in order to cater to the North American market.
Founded in 2016, TechRyde’s vision is to digitise the restaurant and hotel industry’s operations. With the founder’s decades worth of experience with Oracle MICROS as well the hospitality industry, this allowed him to see the problem and opportunity within the sector. Under his leadership, the company has already had numerous achievements under their belt. Till date, they have already deployed their POS technology to over 1500 restaurants including Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and numerous other restaurants in the United States, UK, Australia and other countries.
Having spent the last 6 months in TBDC’s SUV programme, Mahal is confident about his decision to move his business to North America. “We felt that TBDC would be a tremendous partner for us and their SUV programme had everything we were looking for including one-on-one mentoring, expert advisory, and access to numerous investors ”, said Sandeep. “The SUV programme has given us immense value and has provided us with all the tools and advice we need to establish our business in this new market”.
After having spent the last 6 months in TDBC’s Start-Up Visa (SUV) programme, TechRyde rolled out its innovative off premise and on premise ordering technology solution to restaurants and hospitality services across North America. The launch came at an opportunistic time as restaurant and hospitality services across the world are looking to upgrade and simplify their operations.
TechRyde offers on-premise and off-premise digital solutions that cater to the hospitality industry including restaurants, chains, franchises, and hotels. TechRyde technologies help businesses optimize efficiencies and minimise costs for online ordering, contactless payments, inventory management, labor and more. Solutions include contactless QR code-based ordering for dine-in and web ordering for take out and delivery, all of which can be fully integrated with POS and payment systems. Using a cloud-based subscription model, the company has the ability to rapidly deploy and integrate its platform to clients across the globe.
“We are proud to be a preferred member of the Oracle Partner Network and have an opportunity to work with innovative third-party app companies and this engagement led to PizzaHut 16% growth during pandemic. This puts us in the forefront of the digital transformation of the restaurant industry,” said Sandeep Mahal, CEO of TechRyde based in Toronto.
The technology also provides other benefits including order throttling for peak hours, real-time menu synching from POS, and the ability to quickly exclude unavailable items from all menus.
“It is exciting to have a part in bringing about impactful changes in how restaurants operate and how they engage with their customers. We are in the process of expanding our digital stack and our offering to the hospitality industry by expanding our integration platform. With recent integration to DoorDash Drive, we are going to deliver food from our platform . Our dine in ordering app is helping the industry to mitigate labor shortage problems and increase their profitability”.
