What are the objectives behind your foray into the commercial PC segment? Can you highlight some opportunities that you foresee in India?

Dinesh - Asus has has a high double-digit growth in India with made for India product development and services development approach. Our objective is to extend this strong understanding of the Indian consumer needs and combine our cutting edge differentiated technology to cater to the evolving needs of the corporate user. We want to emerge as the most preferred brand of Choice of the Enterprises in India.

The pandemic has made the working environment for professionals very dynamic in India. With the integration of office, home and school, device features need to be versatile, while enabling work and access from anywhere, anytime.

Additionally, the rapid evolution of the workplace in the last year has forced IT decision makers to procure technology solutions that suit the workforce of the future. This fast changing landscape resulting in the rising demand for remote enterprise solutions has carved out a strong opportunity for Asus to deliver hardware solutions that are technologically advanced, high on performance and deliver a seamless experience to a diverse category of users. India is a strong growth market for Asus in the region and we will continue to provide solutions that empower consumers to adapt to the technology disruption in the market.

What are your key focus areas for growth? 

Dinesh - One year after the global remote work revolution, the shift to work from home (WFH) and work from anywhere (WFA) continues to precipitate its impact on businesses’ digital transformation. We believe that this digital first mindset is here to stay and Asus is poised to capitalise on it.

Our commercial portfolio will cater to businesses of all sizes, including educational institutions, government, micro businesses, SMBs and large enterprise customers. As the economy continues to revive, adopting digital technologies will remain key for the survival of these segments. Asus will partner with them in their journey to deliver intelligent performance features that enable businesses to work efficiently and accelerate productivity. The edu-tech sector continues to outgrow the industry. Our products that cater to the K12 segment will play a vital role in driving growth and in achieving our business goals in the region. We value our relationships with businesses of all sizes. Micro-businesses, SMBs, large enterprise customers, educational customers and Government alike all are included in our focus area.

What is your channel strategy in the country and how do you plan to deliver value added services to your customers?

Dinesh - Channel partners have been the main backbone of the Asus growth strategy in India and they are one of the primary factors for their excellent growth record. We have tied-up with national level Distributors for the system business sales, who also subsequently sell our products to Regional Distribution Partners and Large System Integrators across India. We have partnered with top tier regional distribution partners to reach out to System Integrators and Value Added Resellers. With the right partners on-board we are confident about improving our presence and penetrating the market.

We are not only focused on increasing the channel base but are also providing training seminars to help them understand the benefits of Asus products. We are fortifying our relationship with System Integrators by leveraging our global alliances and partnerships in India to gain a competitive advantage increase the focus on large corporate deals. We are enabling our System Integrator and Value Added Reseller partners with comprehensive product information in end customer friendly formats that enable them to explain our product benefits effectively to the end customers. Our teams are highly responsive to the needs of our channel partners to ensure speedy inputs that enable them to serve the needs of Enterprise customers far better.

What are your plans for the Indian market?

Dinesh - We are expecting the growth momentum to continue as technology remains the key factor that businesses hinge on to revive and thrive in the new normal. We will be launching products in commercial across all key product segments covering Notebooks, desktops, all in ones and mobile workstations. Asus will be closely working with Intel and Microsoft to introduce the product range on latest processors with latest solutions.

In addition to products Asus has also introduced value added services, tailored for the enterprise segment such as dedicated helpline operational for industry leading duration of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday for all segments of enterprise users, warranty extension options, accidental damage protection, hard disk retention service, and priority service.

We are building a team of leading professionals who will be acutely customer centric and responsive to serve the needs of our channel partners and end customers with high speed and high satisfaction.
