Intex has released two budged Android smartphones in the Indian market, Aqua A2 and Aqua Y2 Ultra, in an effort to consolidate its position in the low-end segment. India's No.3 smartphone vendor by volume, Intex has priced both smartphones under Rs 5,000.
Aqua A2 and Aqua A2 Ultra share most of key features, but have different processors and RAM.
Among the common features of Intex's new smartphones are: 4-inch (480x800p) screen, Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system, 8GB internal storage, 32GB microSD card support, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and dual sim functionality. The two smartphones also have the same connectivity features: 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, and Bluetooth.
While Intex Aqua A2 is powered by the 1.2GHz quad-core Speedtrum SC7731 processor with 512MB RAM, the Aqua Y2 Ultra smartphone pakcs a 1.2GHz quad-core Speedtrum SC7731G chipset with 1GB RAM.
