Iris Global has introduced a new product that will make its display screens more convenient, make presentations user-friendly, corporates as well as for domestic customers. Talking to newspersons here today, the company's CMD Sanjiv Krishen said they are going to introduce a product called Touch OVERLay that can be fixed onto any smart TV display screen and convert the same into a complete touch screen.
The press note from Iris Global said that this new product has been assembled by Iris Global to ideally suit education sector, including schools, colleges, corporates, teaching centres and many others. The origin of the product is unconfirmed at the time of writing. DQ Channels received a phone call from their representative saying that the product has been developed elsewhere.
The Touch OVERLay makes it convenient for the presenter to connect his laptop/computer to the screen via a USB port giving the required interface and thus achieve the convenience of touch screen operations.
Once this system is adopted, there is no need for a pointer or a stick to show the programme in board rooms or in the classrooms.
This device can be fixed on any smart conventional LCD/LED screen converting it into a touch screen one.The product comes with fixable outer bezels along with a Toughened Glass screen. The bezels fit around the edges of the display, while the toughened glass prevents the TV screen from any scratch or damage.
Krishen said that on a preliminary study it has been found that the potential of this product is huge in the domestic market.
The product makes it convenient for the presenter to connect his laptop/computer to the display screen via a USB port giving him the convenience of touch screen operations. It is attached via the USB that connects the laptop/PC with the display screen. There is no software needed. It's a simple attached interface.
This kind of touchscreen display is already available in the market from other companies and is widely used in presentations. Iris Global has adopted this technology now to make its display screens more user-friendly.
