KKM SOFT has worked very closely with
Autodesk to develop, enhance and integrate its Engineer to Order
(ETO) service platform, iConfigure, with Autodesk Inventor.
This external rules-based configurator,
enables designers and manufacturers to reduce the time of their
design-to-sale process by up to 50 percent. To cut cycle time, KKM
SOFT created a set of tools and libraries built on existing Autodesk
technologies including; Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Inventor
Automation, and iLogic which speed mass customization efforts of
manufacturers.
iConfigure enables manufacturers to
more easily create and maintain robust part configurations, assembly
configurations and drawings on the industry's leading digital
prototyping platform Autodesk Inventor. Designers, sales managers and
the executive teams can track and make informed decisions, deliver
accurate quotes faster, and reduce rework-insuring their products are
delivered on time.
Ramasamy, Director, KKM SOFT, said, “As
a mechanical design solutions and ETO Company, we felt that there was
a need for an external rule-based configurator that can automate 70
percent of the standard designs, that exist in the product design
portfolio of any mass customization manufacturing company. With
Autodesk Digital Prototyping and the Inventor Platform our customers
now can innovate and deliver projects more efficiently and rapidly.”
“Though most of our deliverables with
iConfigure is a framework of processes and services based on customer
input and feedback, we can quickly transform to add to current and
Autodesk's future ETO initiatives like Inventor Automation and
iLogic technology which is included in Autodesk Inventor Professional
2010. We will continue to closely look at Autodesk's strategy in
providing digital prototyping and sustainability solutions to our
shared customers; and adhere to VAR and Autodesk customer acquisition
and service objectives”, says Kirubakaran, Chief Architect, KKM
Solution.
"We are proud to be working
closely with an industry leader like KKM SOFT," said Jim Quanci,
Director, Autodesk Developer Network. Quanci further added,
“Together with our partners, Autodesk is committed to developing
solutions that help customers design, visualize and simulate their
ideas, and can solve business and design challenges for competitive
advantage. Partners like KKM SOFT are central to achieving this
goal."
KKM SOFT also announced that it has
been chosen as a preferred industry partner for Autodesk Inventor for
the territory of India by Autodesk. This co-operation is believed to
reduce the manufacturing development time by 50 percent.
