Lava has added an entry level device in Iris series of Android smartphones with the launch of Iris X1 Atom.
The Iris X1 Atom runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and has a 5 MP PureCel rear camera with high intensity LED flash. It comes with Android KitKat, 4.4 with a guaranteed upgrade to Android Lollipop, 5.0 through FOTA.
The phone has a 4-inch WVGA (480*800) display that offers 233 pixels per inch. It packs in 512 RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB via micro-SD card. The smartphone also offers software features such as Smart Swipe. This is essentially a 4 way gesture/shortcut that includes Smart View(use two fingers to rotate the images in gallery), Double Tap to Wake up, Active Shot (one step shortcut to click photograph).
On the connectivity front, Iris X1 Atom supports 3G connectivity for faster internet access, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V2.1 and micro- USB v2.0. It supports MPEG4, H.263, H.264 Video codecs and has Full HD Video Playback option.
Lava Iris X1 Atom will be available in white Silver, Black Silver and Black gold colors at Rs. 4444/-.
