Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, aged 34 has overtaken Warren Buffett, aged 87, CEO - Berkshire Hathaway as the world’s third richest person, further solidifying technology as the most robust creator of wealth.
Zuckerberg, now has a net worth of $81.6 billion according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, and is just behind Jeff Bezos, Founder of Amazon Inc. and Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates. With this the share price of Facebook has jumped by 2.4 percent.
Zuckerberg's rise in the ranking has been driven by investors who continued to embrace Facebook despite a data-privacy crisis that caused the company's shares to slide to an eight-month low of $152.22 on March 27.
The stock of Facebook closed Friday at a record $203.23.
