Microsoft opens Azure for resellers

Microsoft has announced that Azure platform will now be available for resellers. The step will enable eligible resellers to resell Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service on Azure. The move will benefit more than10, 000 Microsoft partners. Azure cloud services were earlier sold directly or as a part of Enterprise Agreement (EA) with Microsoft.

"Over the years, our customers have been able to adopt and benefit from new technologies though the support of our 10,000 strong partner network. By making Azure available through local partners, we are further helping India's SMBs secure the great benefits of cloud computing", said Meetul Patel, GM, Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners, Microsoft India.

"We are excited about this announcement that will enable us to serve our SMB customers with a complete platform to deliver solutions across on-premises, virtualization and the cloud," said Suketu Shah, director, Genie InfoTech, a Microsoft partner based out of Pune.
