Microsoft unveils Lumia 540

Microsoft has announced the new Lumia 540 dual-sim variant. The smartphone is the successor to its Lumia 530. The announcement applies to the IMEA, APAC and Italy regions and the device has been priced at Rs 9,361 approximately.

The Lumia 540 Dual-SIM will come with smart dual SIM feature. Using this feature, one can create unique profiles for each SIM individually. The smartphone will feature Windows Phone 8.1 with a Lumia Denim update out of the box.

The device sports a 5-inch 720p display and is also powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 mobile chipset. It features 1GB RAM, along with an internal storage of 8GB, expandable via micro SD card. One will also have the option of 15GB of cloud storage on OneDrive. Other features include an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, as well as a 5MP wide-angle front camera, and a 2200mAh battery. It will come in the colors glossy cyan, orange, white, and black matte.
