Reliance Jio had opened new avenues in the telecom sector when it announced its free offers in 2016. After the ‘Welcome Offer’, the trial period for Jio continued as ‘Happy New Year’ offer. But now the freebies are about to get over on March 31, after which the data on Reliance Jio will begin to be chargeable. In order to soften the sudden blow, the network service provider decided to open the floodgates of a new offer, called the Prime Membership offer. Under this new offer, users will have to pay a certain amount to become a Jio prime subscriber. After which there will be separate charges for data consumed by prime and non-prime members.
