PCAIT an IT channel association is soon joining the groups of channels forming their own online stores for its members to sell their products and solutions. Earlier, DQ Channels has reported the formations of such online portals by FAIITA and Jalandhar Computer Dealers Association (JCDA). Alok Gupta, President, PCAIT, today broke the news that his organisation was soon going to launch a portal for PCAIT and other IT channel members. Saket Kapur, General Secretary, PCAIT, spoke to DQ Channels to give some preliminary information about this portal.
Alok Gupta issued a statement in which he said that PCAIT was soon going to launch a B2B and B2C online portal for its members to create an online catalogue . This will be available to IT partners free of cost irrespective of association affiliation and registration will begin in the next 10 days. Alok Gupta said that they firmly believed in progress with connectivity.
Saket Kapur in a separate conversation with DQ Channels, clarified that unlike some other such portals, this was going to be a free of cost portal which all PCAIT and other IT channel members could use without any financial pre-conditions before them for using it. He said the modus operandi and structure of the portal shall be revealed later when the portal becomes functional. He said at this stage, the PCAIT and other IT members will have their own individual store on this portal with an online catalogue of their products and solutions. At a later stage, they may tie up with an E-commerce platform to provide their facilities as well.
Saket Kapur clarified that this portal will give an opportunity to the clients to browse through the catalogues and pick their preferred partners without having to deal with the disguised companies created by the online E-commerce platform for the purpose.
He said that the response to this venture has been overwhelming from the many PCAIT and other IT partners, who have expressed a welcoming note to it.
