SILVER CLUB RANK (2010-11): 8
Registering a 31% increase in the
overall revenue of FY11 as compared to that of FY10, Rashi
Peripherals emerged as one of the strong national distributors from
the West and managed to cross the revenue mark of Rs1,000 crore in
FY11. Concentrating to add more vendors this year to its existing
bandwagon, Rashi recently bagged a distribution deal from LG on its
LCD monitors. With LG coming on board, now the distribution house can
boast of being a one-stop shop offering PC components and peripherals
for channel
partners. Ensuring healthy profit margins from its fast-growing
brands which include SanDisk, HP, ASUS, ADATA, Microsoft, Lenovo,
Logitech, ADATA, ViewSonic, Altec Lansing and many more-the company
managed to get a balanced portfolio between PC components and
peripherals. Rashi also started channel development and marketing
activities especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities to engage with
corporate resellers and SMB customers. For development on the channel
front, the company's primary focus will be to work closely with its
existing partner
network of about 8,200. And for this, the distributor has a well-laid
plan to expand its channel network by about 90% by the end of this
fiscal where the focus would be on B, C, and D-class cities. Besides
reaching to its desired growth figures FY11, the company is working
towards increasing its branches from the existing 56 to 62, which
will make it one of the few distributors to have such an extensive
direct presence across the nation. The new branches will be opened in
the states of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajashtan.
Furthermore,it is planning to increase its employee base by about 20
percent by the end of this fiscal thus the total count will now touch
to almost 950 employees from the existing 750 employees.
