Vineet Taneja quits Samsung India?

If media reports are to be believed Samsung India country head Vineet Taneja has quit the company. 

However, Samsung has not confirmed the development. 

It is being speculated that Taneja resigned due to pressure from the top management after the company failed to sell its hi-end phones like Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 in line with the ambitions of the Korean head-quarters.

Canalys tablet market share report for first quarter of 2014 (Q1 2014) for India today indicated decrease in the shipments of Apple and Samsung, while Lenovo, Acer and Asus gained. Samsung and Apple missed shipment targets mainly to Lenovo in India.
