Blue Coat appoints Andrew Littleproud as vice president of Asia Pacific Sales and Operations

Blue Coat Systems announced the appointment of Andrew Littleproud as vice president of Asia Pacific, responsible for its sales and business operations. Reporting to Marc Andrews, Blue Coat senior vice president of worldwide field operations, Littleproud will also focus on enhancing channel relationships.

Littleproud brings strong security industry experience and is tasked with extending Blue Coat’s Asia Pacific market penetration and leveraging Blue Coat’s dominance in the secure web gateway segment to adjacent security markets. During the last three years, Blue Coat has experienced strong growth in the enterprise security market, fueled by its expanded offerings for advanced threat defense.

Prior to joining Blue Coat, Littleproud worked for McAfee, where he was responsible for leading business operations across Asia Pacific. Under his leadership, the McAfee corporate business in the Asia Pacific region grew at a double digit growth rate in excess of $200 Million USD, becoming McAfee’s highest performing region in 2014. Littleproud joined McAfee from EMC Corporation, where he spent over seven years as managing director of the EMC Software Group in responsible for Australia and New Zealand. During his tenure with EMC, Littleproud was instrumental in driving the integration of newly acquired software businesses into the group and grew the business four fold.
